I agree with this analysis. The notion of "Work/Life balance", of course, is intended to mislead people. It is simply not possible to separate work from Life, because it is an activity that consumes Lifespan.

Anyone who sincerely believes in it is deluded.

If one must work, at least they should be engaged in work that is interesting and creates tangible value and meaning to that person and his/her loved ones. This can be quite difficult because our economic system does not value creating meaning, but GDP. We have made it one of the fundamental premises of industrial civilization to maximize human value (but purely in a financial sense).
